Is this a rare NOS part?
I have what I believe to be a German made NOS bellows type beetle/KG dash mounted windscreen wiper/washer switch, the bellows are mint and have great
pressure. It is the type you pull and release to pump the water. From what info I could gather these were from 58-60 bugs as an option from VW and
they are said to be (in the USA at any rate) impossible to find, not available new for some time and usually broken if secondhand. Or so say a few US
sites I looked at.
Just wondering if thats the same story here and if so are they some sort of holy grail item the classic enthusiasts look for or am I over reacting a
little?

Yep got one sitting on my desk in front of me right now and like anything , they are worth what someone is willing to pay at the time.
I did have three of them , all in perfect working condition and have sold the other two , one for $80 and one for $50 so yes they are worth hanging on
to as ooner or later someone will want that hard to find part

as said, getting harder to find in good condition..
but still one speed wipers...
so, You would need to find someone who really wants one..
not really the holy grail... lol..

From my limited knowledge, the squirter in Australia worked by pulling the wind screen wiper knob.
The German made Beetles changed to push bitton in the middle of the knob in the early 60's.
Advertise on the Samba.com, the US and Euro guys will be interested.

Used in Australian-made VWs up to 1968, long after German VWs went to the compressed air option. Australian cars never had the button in the middle of
the wiper switch. We didn't see the compressed air system until the 1968 12V model.
The 'pull on the wiper switch' system works well if the rubber is in good nick.
