Preparing to put the body back on
Hey guys,
Im in the stages of preparing/sourcing parts to put the body back on my beetle-its been nearly two years. This is in order to fit everything and get a
running car-to take it off again for paint.... Its an IRS converted BJ chassis, is there anything I need to be aware of?
So far, im looking at replacing:
Body to pan seal,
the square cushions in the rear,
possibly the body to pan bolts and U shaped things (their name leaves me at this time).
My question to you, is their anything that I should be careful of, or also purchase.

Do these guys have a website? I have never dealt with them before,
Can anyone advise me the best way to put the holes in the body to pan seal in order for the bolts to slot through?

Try a punch tool. You can probably get a set from supercheap

YEs BUT use the Phone Its much nicer to talk to some one than a computer
don't use a punch as the hole will be too big just use a sharp pointed screwdriver of a razor blade

Circumstances don't always allow for a call though.
So just pierce a spot or cut the spot out.
What's the best way of fixing it to the pan?

Do yourself a favour and tap all holes prior to fitment. I didn't and had to do so insitu. I have some pics on my racing build below. No real
surprises. You have the major bolts front and rear to align, have some mates handy to lift and plonk back down a mm over etc...
My seal was sticky on one side but I think I drilled from below, or fine punch from above to get started. Then a fresh blade to neaten the hole up.

I had actually planned to re tap all the holes, just to make life easier. Is it possible to rivet the seal down? I have these spike things that mine
has been held on.
