Clutch problems
Hey guys,
Funny question but when pushing the clutch down my revs go up, can't put into 1st or 2nd when engine running but slides in no problem when off.
When I was driving it today I heard something like a stone or maybe nut hitting off metal sound when going from 2nd to 3rd and that's when the
problem started.
Gotten under the car and nothing seems to be loose or anything caught in the cables.
Any help would be great, kinda stuck (in third gear
Dan.

Have a look at the front transmission mount bracket they often let go at the weld and when you push the clutch in pulls the box instead of the lever,i
have rewelded a few over the years. it may also be a mounting collapsed.

Could be throw out bearing clips too, means the bearing doesn't engage the clutch properly.
You can change gears with out the clutch to get you by. Someone else may have a description.

This shouldn't cause the engine to rev when the pedal is depressed.

I agree.. possibly a gear seizing on the main/pinion shaft then when clutch is disengaged motor will spin faster??
It will all be OK in the end, if it's not OK it's not the end!

Went in today and grumble you were 100% correct, the weld spots had given away.
Thanks once again and thanks everyone for your input.
