1 point in the decider last year and 2 points in the decider this year. And all that against a team with no halfback, against the "best Kweensland
team ever"? NSW were magnificent. Dont get too cocky now boys. One day it will end, sure as the sun comes up.

Yes Kweensland were too good. Just. Just remember all
you Blues supporters out there. When this drought is finally broken, and it will be, all this stuff will be fish and chip wrappings. Maybe we can
get back to the correct order of the world, with NSW where it should be, on top again. Prior to the SOO concept NSW won 27 series in a row!!! Without Kweenslanders. Now that was the natural order. Ahh
memories.

Pfft ... 27 in a row, and the teams were full of Queenslanders....That exactly why S O O was devised, all our players went down to NSW as that is
where the money was. Very different and basically, no argument.

Sorry Matt, the NSW teams were NOT full of Kweenslanders. There were quite a number who came to NSW from the 60's, when poker machines in this
state made the move attractive financially, but prior to that, almost none, and very few of those were chosen in the NSW side. Of course if you could
prove me wrong by giving me some names, I would be happy to bow to your superior knowledge. On the other hand, one of our immortals, Clive Churchill,
who was born and raised on the Newcastle coalfields in NSW, captained Kweensland. SOO was in fact devised to "level the playing field". And you
know as well as I do that the eligibility rules are still shrouded in mystery and controversy. It should be where you are born. There is NO DOUBT
where you play. If you want your kid to be eligible to play for one state, send the missus there to give birth. No more Kiwis, Papuans, Tongans, etc
etc unless they were BORN there. Pretty simple and really foolproof. Thats a whole nother thread. 27 in a row! Thats a pretty good record. With
or without Kweenslanders.

Just to stir the pot...
What exactly are the rules for determining what state you play for? Is it where you play your first senior game? Or where you were born or raised?
As Blue as my blood is and regardless of how poor NSW have been these past 8 years I still cheer them on every year - even if I am on the other side
of the world like I was in 2009/10. You wouldn't think you could watch the series on a small island in Greece!
Just a shame there weren't more Manly players in the team Once
again Chock performed when he came on. Just needed the Stewart brothers too. And to get rid of Pierce...and Dugan..and bring back the biff!
As much as it hurts to say QLD were the better team. And Inglis should be playing for NSW seeing he is from Bowraville NSW!
Regardless - Rugby Union is a much better sport!
I await the hate mail..

Peter Stirling born Toowoomba, Ken Nagus born in QLD, James McManus born Scotland. Steve Rogers born in QLD, tamou born New Zealand, Uate born Fiji,
there are a few more who played but I don't remember them at the moment. As for QLDers who played for NSW before SOO Arthur Beetson was the most
obvious first name to mind as one who played for the southerners. As I already mentioned, Steve Rogers, Paul McCabe, Johnny Lang, Noel Kelly, Mick
Veivers, Johnny Rhodes, Graham Quinn, do you want more?

OK thats 7 although Steve Rogers was another one of those "funny" eligibility ones. And I dont count McManus, James Tamou, Uate because they fall
into the same category as Adrian Lam, Civoniceva, Kasiano etc etc. Arthur Beetson played more games for NSW than Queensland (and a proud NSW blue
captain he was too if I recall. I dont recall Arthur saying at the time he didnt want to play for NSW. And I cant remember 6 big mern twisting his
arm to get him out on the paddock to smash fellow Queenslanders.). He was the best Queensland forward I have ever seen. Including the current crop.
Beetson had it all. And a nice bloke to boot. I keep hearing about how NSW used to flog Queensland year after year with "teams full of
Queenslanders). 7 over a period of 50 or 60 years isnt too many.
Lets say for the sake of the argument there was double that. That would make 14. Over a period of 65 odd years pre origin.
Yeah. I can see now. NSW teams stacked chock a block full of Queenslanders.

Selection rule is simple. You want to play with a winning team you tick the QUEENSLANDER box if you want to live in the rugby league wilderness you
tick the other.
