CB Rhino Coupler

just thought I would put this out there

i just put a CB Performance Rhino Super Couple on my gearbox

Absolutely f'cking lovely!

Got it from VVDS and Boris gave it a little tickle with a welder as the clamp can come loose and spin

Yep - twice as much as rubbish.
They are suppose to be noisy - hey, I have a Berg mid mount and twin Dells
But the solid shift - clunk - clunk - just lovely

I'm just get happy when you buy something, however small, and it not only works, but exceeds.

Get one!

Ah, at last a well fitting coupler :)

I modded my orig VW coupler with new rubbers to get a tight fit to the rubbers and no noticeable play in it. Meant having to cut the cages that hold the rubbers and reform then to make a tight tight around the rubbers. Then weld the cage back up :)

Custom and Commercial. They have a good line of german quality items. I've bought rubbers for my doors and they are as good as Wolfsberg Wests and those are excellent quality. Dunno if they still sell the bushes seperate but they did a few years back. :)

Do they not use them on T3s? Gear stick selector linkage shaft to gearbox hockey stick. Under the rear seat inspection panel.

Or is someone being sarcastic?

umm I was a bit confused why rubber is mentioned? and all this "which is better"?

yes type 3 have a coupling there which is accessed from under the car and its simple yoke type coupling so I am failing to see where rubber mounts? are involved. I though you guys were talking about the front gearbox mount or something along those lines.

I have just shimmed my old genuine ones up with washers and made sure I had a tight snug fit. 3cars now and no replacement parts needed? Sounds like a good part, but not sure how buggered a lose part is, just loose.

It is a yoke and the pin that goes thru the yoke and connects to the g/box has square rubber bushes either side of the yoke. Maybe T3 coupler is solid style yoke like a UJ.
