Mystery wire
Howdy,
I was changing the plugs on my bug today and noticed a loose wire behind the fan shroud (right hand side). It looks like it's come off an adjacent
3-way connector but before I plug it into it I'd like to confirm that that is in fact where it's meant to go. The wire disappears into a harness
behind the firewall and I have no idea what it connects to at the other end. Ditto for the two thicker wires hooked up to the connector.
Picture has been attached. I would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me as to the purpose of the offending wire and whether it's safe to plug
it into the connector next to it.
The car is a 1972 semi-auto superbug.
Cheers
Bart

Thanks Steve, you sir are correct. The mystery wire does indeed seem to come off the reverse light switch. I guess the connector splits to left and
right lights.
