T3 fuel consumption?
So I am going to look at a caravelle tomorrow, looks to be beautiful car for the money. But I have heard them to be very thirsty, reports of up to
15ltr100.
I'm sure there are plenty of T3 owners on here, what should I be expecting?

Will vary a lot depending on driving conditions, load and driver!
I have a GL, so with power steering, AC (on most of the time) and a heavy load (seats, carpets, sound proofing, plus a load of kids etc) I vary around
12 to 14L/100km, mostly mixed driving (round town/highway). Plus it's a Syncro, so has a little more weight and drag than a std bus, but I drive like
an old fart.....
My Brother had a std single cab, so no power steer, no AC and much lighter and would do 8-10L/100.
In poor tune or driven hard they could easily use over 15L/100
I'm still very new to T3's, certainly doesn't have the soul and character of all the air cooled VW's I have, but is growing on me, more
comfortable, quieter, smoother and handles a hell of a lot better plus AC is a bonus in QLD.

Thanks guys happy to hear that.
Good to hear if I have excess usage it is something I can tune out and not just the norm.
Anybody know what the factory specs are suppose to be?
