T3 Vanagon stalling

Developed an issue where my T3 occasionally stalls at idle.

It has never had a good change in revs between drive and neutral / park.

My other van did. It also developed a similar problem and I changed the bit circled - air flow meter??

Just dont know if it is that bit or the cold weather

Is there somewhere else I can look?

Does anyone have a good 2nd hand air flow meter?

Error

clean throttle body first , could just be soot around butterfly . not letting correct amount of air in at idle.

good result!

I do most of my trouble shooting on the Samba, the amount of vanagon love over there makes for such a massive knowledge base
