need a n approx price on 74 kombi 1600tp
Gday all. My daughter has her motor for sale it's a good running 1600 tp still in the kombi can hear running located on the gold coast if someone can
give a rough price from bottom to top $ please let me know

$500 for a junker
$5,000 for a fresh rebuilt one
Bottom end is the important part.
If it has end play in excess of say 1/4 mm or 10 thou then it is lucky to be $500
A good compression and 4 thou end play. Them its worth $1500 but doubt VW people will pay that.

My opinion. If I could drive it, and it had an even compression test on all cylinders, pulled smoothly and ran nice. I would go up to $1000, maybe
$1500 if it had recent receipts for quality new heads.
If it was out of the car, not running, no recent history, I would go elsewhere.

evening all thanks for info will get down to the goldie next week & check the end float & compression cold & hot also take pics of the
floor where it's been sitting for nearly 2 years for oil drops etc
