62 Beetle Wiper Blades

Hi all,

I'm planning a trip away this (wet) Easter and realised my Trico wiper blades need replacing. However, I'm reluctant to switch to the newer repro style. For one, the colour doesn't match the arms and you also need to modify the wiper arms to make them fit.

I'm wondering if anyone has sourced an alternative for the early 60's beetles or, has anyone had any luck simply replacing the rubber on the old Trico blades?

Are you meaning the flat unsprung style of wiper blade? If so the last ones I bought were from vehicle wiring products in the UK. They needed 1/2 taken off each end as were longer than for a Beetle but these are generic for many old style vehicles :)

Oh, and sorry it's not much help for this weekend and by now Mick Motors etc are all shut for the wkend.

If you do need the sprung type then blade refills are available from Supercheap and you just cut em to length.
