Hi Steffen.
By the time you get the body sorted all these things will come to you. If yours isn’t too rusty, and I bet it is, start with rust converter / rust proofing the thing, seriously.
Engine – 1300 with engine number starting with F125
Front Seats – Bottom half is beetle with black knobs, the back is CB only. You can make the frame but the tin back plate is pressed, might be able to make one with an English wheel, I bet CB John could do it. He’s the CB sheet metal man.
Roof – Arty P had a couple made from a mould I think he got from Lindsay, others get the canvas roof made, make your own hoops. Several threads on here about that, John had one made. Sticky thread at the top of this forum.
Front Brakes – If you have CB spindles then the brakes are the last of the Kombi drums, 55mm wide, 68 & 69.
Horn button – There’s always hope I guess? CB only, so rare I won’t be parking mine in a public place with the real button on it. I plan to make a fake one.
Wiper motor – there are some about, and you can buy similar things for tractors & boats. Wiper is beetle or type 3, the cross linkage is made up from twin carby type 3 throttle rods, balls & links. The left hand spindle is CB only and rare, I plan to make something.
Windscreen rubber – Clark Rubber has the measurements for the windscreen, bonnet & boot I believe. Threads on here about that.
Windscreen – have to get one cut from flat laminated glass.

It’ll all come. Email me and I’ll send you the parts book.
Cheers
Tony

Sorry Jake
The CB horn button 115-951-501 is definitely not the same as the Beetle 56-59 / Bus 55-67.
They look very similar, plain grey buttons, but the CB has a smaller “button” area and won’t fit in the wheel. Just what the steering wheel and horn button is from has never been made clear, to me anyway. Interestingly they use VW part numbers (Wheel is 111-415-655A) so perhaps they were from something very early, perhaps split window (pre 56) or something else related to a VW, like a Tempo, Kubel or something? There were heaps of things VW used to make for others. The barn door bus has a very similar looking wheel but it has a key, not a spline, and the (reproduction) horn button has grooves around the outside, CB is plain. Don’t know if it fits?
http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=VWC-211-415-651
Can’t see the barn door button sold separately anywhere.
Happy to be proven wrong, I’d love to know.

For the others on here, CB wiper motors are 6 volt of course, not sure if the beetle 12v rotors will fit in them. I think it might. Love to see a picture of your wiper motor Jake.
Cheers
Tony

Well there you go. That's it. Correct part number & all.
You answered the question. I saw one for sale once for $350 so that's a good price. I think we can be pretty sure where the wheel comes from now too.

I managed to get a NOS horn button a couple of years ago from a bloke in Germany for my CB steering wheel-definitely from a split Beetle.

I have an early Oval column and wheel and the are identical to my CB parts. Both have the bush in the top of the column and the spigot on the back of the steering wheel to fit into the bush. They also both use the carbon brush for the horn circuit that clips into the side of the column. Do all CB's use this type of column??

here is a few pictures of my wiper motor i said i would put up, i have always been told that 6v is original, but this looks very legit and it says 12v on it.. so i dunno, its like exactly the same but generic. SWF on the switch and also on the sticker

the only difference is the shaft lengths hence generic, but you just cut inner and outer shafts to desired length and its good to go

the number on it is SWF 402.227 and a google search returned this website
https://www.smolka-berlin.de/onlineshop/en/artikel/SWF_VALEO_NIDEC_ITT_402.22...

so you might even still be able to buy it! hope it helps a lot of people, take my word that it looks very close to original and correct brand and 12v so one less thing to worry about for a 12v conversion, much more authentic than the whitworths motors which i looked at both before i found this

Jake

looking through the website there even looks to be one with a shorter arm

https://www.smolka-berlin.de/onlineshop/de/artikel/SWF_VALEO_NIDEC_ITT_402.28...

and a whole range of different ones that look similar, could be a 6v in there as well

I managed to find 2 at reasonable prices (about $150 AUD delivered). One came from South America (good used) and the other came from Germany (perfect).

Have a look at this page here ...

http://www.volksworld.com/tech-guides/buyers-guides/vw-beetle-steering-wheels...

Either the 48-55 or the 56-59 'standard beetle' wheels will work but I assume the correct one is the 56-59. The difference being the 48-55 wheel has a almost flat or slightly dished appearance on the face of the rim, the same profile as the early 'batwing' wheels. The later 56-59 has a fully rounded rim, however both use the same horn button.

In addition to all this, I think the european 'standard beetle' that continued up into the mid sixties still used these wheels and horn buttons. Split window beetle wheels also came in ivory too.
