Atomwerks. BUYER BEWARE.

Hi. Charles either sends out wrong orders. I believe on purpose to sell items he has in stock. Doesn't matter what you order. 2nd time he sends out faulty parts. I have pictures of poorly made that won't fit. Also emails to confirm I ordered correct parts that were not sent. After I accused him of rubbish work and service twice (originally I accepted it was a mistake.until the second time I realize he is nothing he claims to be) I asked to be compensated or I post emails and pics. Then he said I am typical of the vw crowd who have no respect. Warn your friends about atomwerks. When I have help scanning I will show my dealings with atomwerks. Regards greg

Atomwerks buyer beware round 2.

Hi before u buy call me. Well after hammering the slot on atomwerks spring plate so the axle would fit I finally got it on. well the 2nd spring plate looked OK I tested the axle would fit before I tried to put it on the car.it was fine. Or so I thought. Jacked the car removed the standard spring plate. Slid on the atomwerks spring plate and it would not fit onto the torsion bar. I have 28mm swayaway ones. But it doesn't fit. Well I took it of and tried to fit on the standard torsion bar. You guessed it. It doesn't fit.so I tried the standard springplate it fits snugly on both torsion bars. Well I walked away from it again with a poor result. So Buyer Beware. Atomwerks will send their shit to you in Australia.

Round 3. Reason the 2nd spring plate would not go on the torsion bar was iso the powder coat went into the splines. Took 15 minutes to clean it of. Not what you would expect of an expensive USA made item. After cleaning out spline groves I forced the stand torsion bar through it a few times. Then I fitted it. I had to use a socket and bar to tap it on when I had it in place. To do this I removed the alloy cap held on by small Allen keys. So now I could see inside the spline and to my surprise the splines in the springplate are not in the correct place. The needle bearing section is spaced out with alloy spacers supplied. So when it assembled the torsion bar only goes 3/4th the way into the splines. I took a pic to show this. Maybe that is enough but when you buy so called quality parts it would be nice if they fitted as good as standard Vw parts. I am sure it would be better if the full width of the torsion bar splines fitted fully into the springplate. Next problem came when I put my wheels on. I have 15 by 6 ercos on the rear. I have 4inch backspace.I have 185/15 tyres. I could not spin the wheel. The adjuster nut is hard into the tyre. I left of after grinding it. I taken off about 4mm so far. It still rubbing. I start again tomorrow. I taken pics of the powder coat in the splines and the locking adjuster nut tight against the tyre. It's turning into a short story. Till next time.

Round4. Hi. I haven't gone back to try to make it work. I working up to it. To show how professional atomwerks business ethics is I know a fellow dubber paid for spring plates from atomwerks in October 2015. YES U GUESSED IT HE HASN'T RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM ATOMWERKS. So buyer beware of unscrupulous atomwerks.
