75 Super Bug
Hi all, im in the process of buying a 75 superbug, i'll post some pics when i pic up the car. The car will be my daily driver and i do have one
concern, that a forum member may be able to shed some light on.
The car has a twin carbie set up and i was wondering if water would get into the engine bay/carbies if it was parked outside when it is raining. If so
is there a way to prevent this.
Thanks in advance |

G'day.
It depends what twin carbs you run.
I had this problem with my 75 with twin Dellorto carbs.
It lived outside 24/7
A couple of things I did
There is a rain louvre you can get for the 4 slot lid.
It blocks air a bit but I fixed that by propping my number plate out and cutting a big hole behind the plate.
CSP sells an air box set up
I fashioned my own by using CB Turbo Tops and hooking up to a home made airbox
Do a search for my old ride in Members Rides. Search the word Marty.
If I didn't protect it from rain it would block an idle jet.
A couple of times in torrential rain I filled a cylinder.
