Seat tracks


hi guys, i have a 72 fast back im fixing up a little and have noticed my seat tracks are half gone so i need to weld in new ones, where can i get these, mainly the outer ones.
also will be chasing some drop spindles for ball joint disc front and a way to lower rear.

Your seat rails look OK to me, you just need the rail bushes and pins:

As for drop spindles, they don't really exist for type 3s. The fronts can be reindexed like rears. Do a search for how to lower your type 3, it's reasonably straight forward.

as per above you need the plastic outer for the runners and the pins

the tracks may need a little straightening

Otherwise all OK

So you will have to find a shop or some one who is wrecking Type 3 pre 72 and cut them out

kit available from boris at vvds.... about $120 if i remember correctly
got 1 for the panelvan...... it includes the four runner guides , 2 inner and 2 outer and the pins to hold them in
seats are now perfect....... no wobble and they are so smooth to move
