Shipping VW Kombi to UK
Hi All,
My brother has a '74 Kombi camper up in rural NSW (Near Armidale). It needs to go to its new home in the UK.
It has been in hibernation in the Machinery shed and my brother has finally made room for it in the UK.
Currently its on bricks, unregistered, hasnt been driven in about 5 years. It has been well stored and I turned it over a few times by hand a couple
of days ago.
I am reluctant to drive it to a port, as it would need a careful going over which I just dont have much time for, plus its unregistered. Due to the
rural setting I am concerned that shipping companies may not be able to deliver a container to the premises -
Does anyone have experience with this type of scenario? Any tips, warnings or referrals ?
