WTB: Early Type 3 Rear Brakes Assemblies

As title states:
I'm chasing a pair of early (wide 5) type 3 rear drum brake assemblies.
I'm in the process of changing gearboxes on my beetle and want to upgrade the brakes at the same time..

I'm putting a later swing axle in it for the 12v bell housing and better gear ratios.
No, i need type 3 brakes for the wider drums and wider shoes.
I'll send you an email

Hey Denver, not a cheap option but by the time you've found some Type3 brakes, bought the little bits and pieces to fit them, the cost might not be too far out.

Check out these CSP drums

I have a set of CSP drums on the back of my split

Good conversion. Are you using short or long axles ? If using short you will need to machine the centre boss about 10 mm. I may have sets of machined and non machined, will check over the weekend. Bit heavy to ship from Sydney though.
