Jamie a few years ago I was chasing a pair 6"X 15 wheel for a mate and we brought a pair of Fairlane wheels, had the rivets spun off the centre and fitted the 5 stud wheel centre to them. This was done by the local machine shop. There are more cars around these days using the 15" wheels and I am giving this information in good faith with no guarantees or liability accepted, if you go this way look carefully at the repurcussions and consequences prior to starting. Cheers.

Yeah i drove up near nannango to get a pair put them on but one of the must of been welded in on an angle so it looks like the tyre is going to come off i was even thinking taking it to a wheel repair shop and seeing if they can fix it

Be very careful of wheels that have had wider rims welded to VW centres. If this is not done accurately, by someone who knows what they are doing, the wheels can badly distort the brake drums [assuming you have drums].

That was one of the points I was trying to make Greg, the bloke that did them for us was a legend very fastidious and trued the wheels prior to welding and balanced afterwards. They were awesome.

If 15x5.5 wheels will fit, there should be plenty of these around that are factory-made. They are available new, from Rod Penrose etc, although s/h ones should be easy enough to find.
