Difference between 61 & 65 Beetle


Hi Dubbers,

I'm living in the US at the moment and have a 65 Baja for my daily, I also have a 61 Baja at home in Aus. My question is WRT parts i.e. body panels, glass and interior; what is/is not interchangeable? I know some stuff is different between LHD and RHD. My options are to ship the car home to Aus next year, or pull it down and pack up what I can use, or sell it in the US before I come home.....What are your thoughts?

the US 65 is like a Aussie 68 here

Aussie '61 and US '65 VERY different. Almost nothing interchangeable - different body shells, windows, doors.
