SEKURIT glass logo

Hi everyone, I have a 1954 beetle with the SEKURIT logo on each glass. I noticed the SEKURIT logo on the driver quarter, door and vent glass is back to front.
I've been told the glass was etched on one side only and the glass was interchangeable hence why the logo is back to front on the driver side. Is the correct? Welcome any advice. Thanks

When new, the SEKURIT logo always read the correct way, when viewed from outside the car. All the glass on my '54 is that way. I think the replacement glass (side widows) was only available one way, to simplify spare parts.

I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

I think it depended on who was doin the etching at the time

I have seen both sides etched differently even with the later glass
