Body seals, to replace or not to replace
Spending a bit more time with my '59 bug during lock down and started taking out the front bonnet seal as it was super hard and snapped in a fair few
places. We used to leave them out in the UK as they are such water traps and end up rusting out the lip of the front bonnet, front bonnet scuttle in
front of the wind screen and the rear engine cover closing panels (rear valance).
Do most replace these seals or just leave them out and paint up?
Thanks.
Lewis

Depends on what your doing with the car I have done both on bonnet and engine bay
Restoring it leave in or replace with new ones
Modifying remove and fit Mexican Beetle Seal that has pinch weld onto the lip of the bonnet and boot lids they work well
