Running speaker wire in the Kombi

Anyone got speakers in the front doors of their Kombi? From what I can see there are plenty of holes on the door side where the wiring can come out but only a hole the size of a Bic pen on the body side to feed it into. The size shouldn't be a problem but I'm just wondering about wear and tear and what you may have done to prevent it.

I drilled a 12mm hole through the A-pillar just below the top hinge (had to take the door off to do it) so that it lines up with where I wanted the wiring to pass through the vent holes in the leading edge of the door. I used heatshrink tube on the wiring I wanted to run and passed it all through a rubber grommet of the right size. This was enough for speaker and central-locking wires (7 in total) so use something smaller for speakers alone. Also make sure that you file the edges of the hole before putting anything in it.:thumb

Sorry about the blurry picture, the close-up lense hasn't arrived yet....
