Engine bay paint job

One of the jobs I want to do "eventually" is to tidy up around the engine bay i.e. give it a good clean out and possibly a repaint. I'm not talking about any engine parts here, just the walls of the bay itself. I'm not looking for show quality finish either.

What sorts of paints can and can't be used? Can any brush paints be used?

Hi

I saw a the fuel tank cover on this Kombi after it had been brush painted with POR 15, it looked great.

Hmmm :) How many litres do you think would be needed for any such paint job?

Hi

I believe it is pretty economical, the finnish looked like powder coating. The orange Kombi belongs to Leighs girlfriends stepdad, he should be at boris picnic day.
