Pop out rear 1/4 windows for pre 67 beetle

Just wondering if anyone has had a successful idea in creating the above?
I have heard of two people who have bought supposed early popouts from the states and have ended up with late model, so I am not that keen to take the risk.
Thoughts, ideas, or even better, SUCCESS??!!:bounce
