Seats - rebuild or replace?
Would appreciate some advice on seats. Trying to do restore on 1975 Kombi "on the cheap'.:bounce
The front seats are stuffed, is their any other vehicle that has front seats to fit without having to cut, weld, etc.

depends on what yiu want from your bus
if you want tokeep it original get them redone i suppose good condition original are hard to find these days but i reckon a good set of late model
jap seats are the go for style and comfort i would not do that to a splitty but yours definately ,if you shop around you can get them for next to
nothing from a jap wrecker

get the orig. ones re-done !

Ive just rebuilt my Type 3 front seats fitted new origional type VW covers from TMI, which i got from Vintage.
I got the local trimmer to fit some additional padding and support under the springs on the base and the fitted the new covers.
Took about 3 hours to do them and they look great and fit in theorigional spot. no welding and swearing at all.
Give them a ring 9789-1777 to see if they have your Kombi covers in stock. They can order them in for you if not.
