Door hinges seized
Is it possible to knock out the pin in the door hinge of a bug?
Mine WILL NOT MOVE!!!
What am i doing wrong?
Door requires force to open and close.
Going for a roadworthy and i am sure it wont pass in this condition.
thanx Todd :cry

I have tried that. I used a product called INOX. The best i have found so far.
It still wont move. This was done on Tuesday and no effect.
I will remove the door and put the hinge in a press. If it still dont move, i will use one of the doors off another car even though i dont want 2.

yeah, give that a go... but i bought the oil cause the screws that hold the door hinges in where solid, the oil worked on them.. best of luck mate.
dont see why they would not pass the test, whats stiff doors got to do with safety?.. guess it depends where you take the car

Just buy two new hinges. Keep your original door. You could fix your other ones when they are off the car if you wanted to.

yeah the Chemsearch should work but you need to get the door off so you can work the hinges back n forth, n make the lubricant work easier

I have used Yield in the past. I think it came in a gold coloured can. Its not bad.Just over priced. I get same results with the Inox and its
cheaper. You can also get it in 5ltrs.
I have some Lanotec left so i will try it this weekend.
"Orapi" is also another good product but VERY expensive and hard to find.
