turbo charging a vw
Currently have a twin port in my a baja and was thinking of rebuilding a single port and fitting a turbo. Just to get the right set up before fitting
to the twin port. just a few questions on which way I should go. Suc or blow through carby. If the 1600 sp goes alright would probably leave in
car. Any idea on carbi selection curreently havew bug spray but not sure if this will handle boost / greater vacuum. Orginally i was from a holden
background and have though about jetting (modifing) a 350 holley to suit with the turbo. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

inject it
well I wouldm, by the time you screw around with jets and all the time, you go buy a EA falcon CFI throttlebody which comes with injectors and
inbvuilt fuel pressure regulator for $100, second hand ECU to run it for $500 or so, and it prolly costs only an extra $1000 plus dyno time if you
want it tuned for you.
failing that, I woukld personally go the extra hassle of the blothru setup, then you can intercool it easily. |

This is Shimo of Hellbugs Kit
I have a kit that Shimo of Hellbug developed. It uses the Weber DMTT carby that shiftyVW has for sale. Turbo sits underneath the rear parcel tray next
to the gearbox. Good for 14.2 secs with 1835cc and stock internals (yes no special cranks rods or heads!!).
