VW Tragic
I met Toby at the Bondi Servo this morning.. He had a 62 single cab and he suggested I get on this site and start talking..
My wife doesn't understand me..... Oh sorry.. wrong forum..
I have a 30 year old love affair with Bugs and Buses.. In my teens and twenties I had a range of bugs from Cal look customs to bush bashers.. In the
70's bought an early splitty camper and got rid of it for 250 bucks.. How I cry over that now..
These days I have a 74 Van that is used by my local Rugby Club for promotions/advertising, a 72 deluxe bus which recently got broadsided when it was
minding it's own business (pix attached). This was my daily driver and I am devastated.. The lady is now out at Indian Automotive in Penrith
waiting for the Chief to bring her back from the dead..
My most recent purchase (to drive while the bus is being worked on) is a 71 dual cab.. Now I am looking for a good westy to round out my
collection..
My wife drives a new V5 passat and I have a Golf 2.0 as well.. i must admit.. for 21 Century cars without soul.. The VW company still do it better
than others in build quality..
Thats about it.. I feel somehow cleansed.. Still can't work out why my wife doesn't understand me.. Whats wrong with 4 bays in the
driveway!!
Cheers.. And thanks Toby.. Good luck with the luvvily 62 splitty ute..

Type 26 Headlining needed
What I am going to need fairly soon is a new headline in the 71 Dual Cab.. Does anybody recommend a place to go?
