Fuel Tank sender units
My wife and I recently purchased a modified 57 oval. We have a fuel gauge but no sender unit. Anybody have any tips on what sort of sender I should
be looking for and if it is job that a technical moron like myslef could accomplish. I am in the Wollongong/Sydney area if there are suggestions on
places that could assist.

Welcome to the forum. I have a VDO sender which is a round plate the size of a 50c piece screwed to the top of the fuel tank with one wire coming out
going to the guage. It looks very easy to do, EXCEPT, I wouldn't go drilling a hole in a petrol tank for fear of a fire or explosion. Please note
that none of this information is supplied with any practical knowledge of the subject, just a general look at my fuel tank. Someone like Vintage Vee

Thanks for the advice, I have two weeks leave and a trip to VVDS was on the cards anyway.
