Just put in enough so that it is up to the bottom of the fill hole on the side of the gearbox. I assume its manual.
Shell sells 1 and 4 litre bottles of 80-90 GL4 (i think 80-90 is right, somebody?) gearbox oil and i believe this is the correct type. |

the 17mm allen isnt too hard to find, i think its a GM Holden tool as well. If not you can always weld two 17mm together. Filling it is messy and
kinda difficult.
I've used a funnel and hose in the past. It takes a while for the oil to get down to the axles and through all the cogs, so fill it up till it
overflows, then wait a few minutes and repeat until it wont go anymore.
Use GL-4 rated oil - GL5 may corrode the syncros

I used Penrite 80w-90 Hypoid gear oil in my kombi gearbox. It is a GL5 oil that is ok with brass and such like.
I tried the old 17mm bolt trick and it didn't work. Then I found a 17mm hex drive for under $10. Much better!

just go to a tool shop, not a hardware shop a proper tool shop like glenfords etc and they normally carry a 17mm hex head socket
I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!
Go hard or go home!!!!
