help needed please
Hi All,
I've got a strange problem with the distributor on my 70 Beetle.
Tried to check and adjust the timing when I discovered the dizzie is stuck solid in the motor and wont move no matter how loose I make the locknut.
Standard vacuum unit, it's stuck and I cant get any joy.
Tried WD40 and it still wont move in any direction hot or cold.
I'd love some ideas or solution if anybody else has encountered this. Obviously I'd like to get the dizzie out or at least moving without destroying
it.
many thanks for any help.

ok two ways get a heat gun and warm the case up
or get a blunt peice of steel say 40x 5 flat bar on edge give it a wack with a hammer to ease the case ,this will move it ,dont bash it as you can
crack the case .
all above has worked for me :party

Im a great believer in leverage theres nothin cant be moved with a big enough lever.Try a piece of steel plate as a base plate and a small crowbar to
pry the dissy up,BUT I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER IF YOU CRACK YOUR CASE
