Need to fix trike

I bought a squareback through the forum a while back with the intention that the seller would come & help me put the motor into my trike with a sick motor. Unfortunately he has been too busy to come & do the job so I have been off the road completely. I am new to Vee dubs & having ridden mostly jap bikes (reliable but boring) have not needed much in the way of tools or knowledge. I want to learn about the motor & how to do some of the maintenance Can someone with the equipment help? I will pay for your time & knowledge. or am I better of to get the trike carted to somewhere like Volks Affair & have them do what is needed to the current motor?

Sorry to hear you've been off the road for too long. I am trying to fix three cars at the same time as work fulltime so can't offer you the help you are looking for but I have my engine out if you wish to drive (opps, you don't have a car:)) to East Kew I can show you its pretty simple to take things out and put them back in the car. You are welcome to borrow the manuals I have too if you wish.
Cheers

karmannghia60 is right it is very simle job to remove and refit.

The first time I did it was with a workshop manual (gregorys) next to me and read it as I went , this was the first time I had worked on a VW. So if I can do it anyone can .You will need a trolley jack and just take you time and you will be ok

Thanks fellas, but I really need someone to help me & show me not only how to do it safely but also how to set up things like fitting a new dizzy setting the timing etc. The reason I switched to the trike from a sidecar outfit is that I have arthritis which has decreased my strength in both arms

Regards
Ken
