Type 3 towing question
Does anyone know if a Squareback can be fitted for towing and if a 1500 could pull 400kgs?

It should take that easy, unless your 1500 is as worn as my 1600, then not as easy.
Are you planning to fill the Squareback up to the headliner as well? |

Saw a 1600 SB on Tamborine Mountain with one yesterday. It had been rear ended pretty badly tho'. You're not gonna be doing your 1500 any favours
with 400 Kg's, but it should do it!

If you want a tow bar, drop by and take it, I was going to throw it out.
As for 400kg, it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s within legal limits (less than half the towing vehicle’s weight)
I have towed more with my type 3 (very slowly and carefully).
Maybe get higher octane fuel and drive in lower gear at lower speed.
