Immunisation for overseas travel
Fleur and I went and had our shots tonight and we are immunised against just about everything now. My arm really hurts now.
We even have to carry the card in South America to get across the Brazilian border to show we have been done for yellow fever.
I just hope we dont get sick guts
Only 5 weeks to go until we leave and the poor cat and dubs will have to put up with housesitters!

Have a good trip Pete. Brazil hey lotsa VW bits.
My only advice would be to only drink bottled water from bottles that you have opened your self.
And dont have ice in anything.

Had to have the full plethora of injections for a visit to western africa last month. Forunately didn't get side effects from any of the injections
like I was told was quite common, did get one night of headache tho.
Have an awesome trip, and as everyone else has said, bottled water only. Make sure the seal is unbroken before you start drinking too. Common practice
in Ghana is to get the empties, refill and resell.

We will be ultra ultra paranoid.
We had a friend and his girl who survived 8 weeks in Soth America with no sickies. They attribute their success to their paranoia.
They even brushed their teeth with bottled water. Ate only fruit they could peel like oranges. They used antiseptic cream on their hands every time
before they ate and even when they touched their face. They had antiseptic wipes as well.
We have a gastro kit we are taking with us just in case.
Lucky it will only be 3 weeks. Though I think we will see a lot of cool things too. Macchu Pichu, Solare Ulunie (sp?) (salt lake). Lake Titicaca.
