Looking for a quality restorer
Folks,
I am looking for a panel beater to repair the rust, straighten the body and paint my 23 window bus.
Prefer NSW, but I have previously transported this bus interstate (queensland) to a panel shop so travel is not a problem. Unfortunately that panel
shop was unable to start the job and has since closed.
Given the work, I understand the dollars involved. I don't mind paying for the job as long as the panel beater has his heart in the job and no
corners are cut, well except for rusty ones.
Any recommendations?? please u2u me or drop me an email.
looking to get it started as soon as possible.
thanks, phil.

There is a company in Melbourne called Volkommen Art. Supposed to be shithot at full on restos, but get your cheque book out. As they say, "You get
what you pay for".
They are not panel beaters per se, they do everything VW from mild to wild and do it well from what I've heard.
Can supply contact info if you're interested.

stuff in the last decade. Pm me for his number

There's always that guy up in Queensland that is going back into business. Seem to remember he's in Gympie. Good bloke and beleives in steel. He
doesn't like bog at all, hates it in fact... Think he called himself the Car Vet or something. Heard he's starting back up under the name "VDub
Vet" or "The Bug Vet", probably hasn't decided yet...

if you speak to ppl like mike at vvds and muller and others you can enquire about a bloke on the centralcoast named 'hairy' john harris. he did a
beetle for me a long time ago. he did a convertable KG for steven muller. 356;s and notchs and buses. everything. he is a lover of vws and does not
take no short cuts or like cheap made after market panels. this guy i can say is gret at what he does, but he is also busy with work al teh time.
