TP not TI.

Twin port. Standard kombi engine...

it looks like a twin port but hard to tell for this angle what do the manifold ends look like? if they are are a narrow and one pipe its a single but if its got a notch in the middle it a twin.

Single port manifolds look considerably different. They are twin port manifolds .

yep looks like a twin port. from what I know single ports had a one piece manifold rather than end castings and rubber bits.

Whats special about it ?

Degreed aluminium pulley !!

Shiny aftermarket air filter :) !

Aftermarket Bosch ignition coil

Alternator too if I'm not mistaken.....

Looks like a nice tidy engine.

If it's the original engine for the vehicle it's a 1600 twin port.Must be a late model because it has a booster for the brakes.Put some caps over those fresh air outlets on your fan housing-you will need all that wasted air when the weather warms up.

Got down to see the kombi this weekend and took it for a nice scenic drive. Feel like i've had a weekend now.

Not sure what you mean about that, sorry. Borrowed a digi cam so got a couple of other pics. Runs a real treat. Starts no worries even though it has not had much attention at all for about a month (unfortunately).

Cheers

Has an alternator and an oil temp sender. What's the vacuum hose coming out of the manifolds for?
