new 1600 motor


i have a 66 beetle and was wondering about a new vw
factory1600 motor from mickmotors for it.. would it fit straight
in.. has any body bought one of these motors??
any comments or info would be appreciated..

they should cause the case is the same as original. was it originally a 1600. i cannot find my manual at the moment to check

a 66 wouldnt have been a 1600. 1300cc i think. it should still fit straight in no worries though. the best way to find out is to ring micks.

i had a 1640 twin port in my 66 and it fitted fine. the extractors were abit of a pain but that was the brand I think, not the motor itself.:)
