L Bug Fuel ?

Just got an L Bug recently to drive for a while. Just want to ask does it take LEAD FREE SUPER (just like other VWs) or normal petrol ? This is a stupid question ... but yeah ... it just feels so different from a 50's beetle :P

Also how to I pull the Fuel cap out ? I have a feeling its push ... then ? push and turn ? I tried a couple of time but doesn't work ..

hm ... thanks!

it depends on what valve seats you have mate as the old style can be run on pulp and ulp easily but need an additive to protect the soft valve seats. if you have the new hardened seat just run ulp. i prefer to run pulp but its so expensive i run half ulp and half pulp with flashlube.

Use shell Optimax on yr cars much betterererere

You will find they will run smooth

As for the fuel cap is it one of the locking types that you need a key to lock so you can actuall rotate the cap to undo it ??

if its locking one. turn the key in the direction that you want to turn the cap. eg to unlock turn the key anticlockwise for 180 degrees then the cap will just unscrew out.
