what tyres do I need?

hey guys

my 15" stock beetle rims will be ready hopefully sometime this week. I'll need some tyres for them

what's the correct size to go? 165/70?

and do you guys have any recommendations? I'm not after performance tyres, just something affordable I can drive around in

and if any of you guys have a set of 2nd hand tyres that still have some life left, or some atlas whitewalls I'll be interested in taking them. (i'm in brisbane)

thanks a lot!

Depending on your whereabouts, do your tyre searching early. Admittedly I'm in a country town but when I tried about 3 months ago with tyres, only two places would get them in for me (no one here stocks 165/15s), and the quickest was a week......a cheap Korean brand and was still $95 ea. GoodYear hoped to get some others in a bit cheaper but it was going to be a week before they would know if they could.

Hope your hunting up there goes better.....

I will go the tyre shops tomorrow... i'm sure there are enough VWs in this city to keep those tyres in stock

surely somebody in brisbane wouldve bought tyres for their beetles?!

Wait till they take the tyres off and have a look, but rubber deteriates so its cheap insurance to replace at the same time.;)
