Adolf has bought my old 64 bug (see avatar)! And he's stickin one of his donks in it...Should be good for around 200hp...Its a 2.7 TIV FAT
performance motor I believe!
By the way...The best time I had with that car was 14.8, though I haven't got a timeing slip here...Its in storage somewhere...If i find it, I'll
post it. That engine was N/A 1776 in full street trim (with a stinger which was outlawed after that run!) and all the heavy shit!
And Henry's old Manx can be seen in the fantatsic book "Knowing Australian Volkswagens" (by Dave Long and Phil Mathews) on page 105. The car next
to it is Steve's old VOLKSTUNE WBX powered bug if I remember rightly. I seem to remember Henry broke the shifter in the buggy at Oran Park back in
1990...Bloody funny that was too! Where's that car now?

Just received a new slip today from last year. Nick (Boostn) @ Vollkommen Art.
T4 turbo in a 1916 powerd beetle.
12.49 @ 114 MPH.
Very nice setup I might add. Sorry Boostn I can't post an image at the moment but will later in the week when the computer is back from the
doctors.

1ST STREET BEETLE INTO THE 10's
posted below is my time slip for the Summer Slam / Sport Compact drag series at Heathcote Victoria on the 13th January 2007 .
I have got my 1956 oval streeter into the tens with a best ET of 10.49 @129.68 and a best top speed for the event of 131.50 mph .
The print is so light on the timeslip I have had to scan it and take a close up so that you can read the figures .
Half track (1/8 mile) was 6.69secs @ 106.01mph with a 60 foot time of 1.56secs . All this on street tyres !!

i run a 1900 engine , i had my 1800 long roof rack on ,side step, tool box , spare wheel and alot of extra weight on my belly for the bus to push .

not the fastest time going but a time to improve on next meet 16th may
