Unidentified VW Badge... NOW IDENTIFIED

Hi guys, can someone please tell me what this badge is off or if anyone has a use for it or would like to swap for one that fits a 73 bay? I bought it on ebay thinking it was bigger and flat and would have been suitable for my bay :(

Cheers Dave

Pays to put something in the shot that gives perspective.. ie, a clothes peg, pen, business card.... Looks like a type 2, 73 onward front decal.. but i may be wrong.. Those pegs on the reverse side are unusual..

On second look, there is a bevel on the rim.. Can't place it.. suggest later model..

You haven't placed a ruler or other item so We might know how large or small it is....

Could be for the top of a Beetle bonnet....

or it could be as large as a Beetle bonnet..!!

Does it have any VW part numbers on it???
otherwise it must be aftermarket...

i dont think its off anything classic... more like plastic, ie newer transporter or something.

Very Odd...

251 part number tells you its off the Transporters built from 1980 to 1992

The part number tells you also that it fits 88-92, and the front of the car.

part numbers are wonderful!

How many $$$ are you asking for it?
The ebay one is for an early bay...much bigger than this one.
