type 3 with scat shifter..need some help
hey all...got the t3 serviced and it was returned today...lowered plus my new scat shifter....
one prob...the shifts seem really tight? and when i looked inside the shifter...the white ball knuckle type thing? is that meant shed some white
residue? is it just rubbing of some of the plastic cus its new? and should i lube it all? i ave this white lithium grease...sposed to be really good
should i wacks ome in there? cus the shifting is gonna become a real bitch if this persists

Yes lubricate it with Lithium grease
Is it tight when you go from 1st to 2nd ??
If so its not adjusted correct. Loosen off the 2 x 13mm head bolts slightly so its can be mooved a little, centralise the shifter in neutral and then
shift into 2nd gear.
Again centralise the shifter in 2nd gear and tighten the 2 bolts back up.

yeh its tight 1st to 2nd....
if i adjust it though... when u say centralise...? i may sound stupid...but how do u centralise? if i crack the bolts off slightly to move
around...shift to second...then what?
