HELP!! Type 1 Rear axle seals!!!???

Not sure if i've put the rear axle seals on my buggy quite right!!!???
Left side i couldn't get the spacer off so i assembled the plate with all new seals then put it back on (to hold the brakes on). So i'm not sure if it has the small 'O' ring that is supposed to sit (i think) between to bearing and the spacer. Will this leek even if i couldn't get the spacer off??

Where exactly does the 'O' ring sit? On the small lip of the bearing or wedged b/w the spacer and the bearing?

Assembled the right side with the 'O' ring b/w the spacer and the bearing and now it doesn't turn as easy when i turn the main shaft. Is this b/c of the 'O' ring jamming things up?

Could someone PLEASE tell me the EXACT (got the Idiots guide and not detailed enough for the ultimate dummy :duh) way this assembly is to be put together?

Any help will be great :kiss:kiss :beer:beer

i'm not the best to ask as i did both sides on mine. all was ok for a bit then one side started leaking mucho trans oil. took it apart to find one of the orings chewed up. looked like the smaller one that sits on the chamfer on the inside of the spacer but cant really remember. anyway, the long and short of it is i just got rid of the rubber remanats, cleaned it up and put it back togather. walla. no more leaking.

i use this site for a guide to assembly. seems helpful.

You needto get the spacer off n fit the new O RIng otherwise u will have LEAKS get a pair of multi grips n give the spacer a twist with a bit of rag under the jaws of the multi grips so as not to mark the spacer

i kept on having leaks with my swing axle because the washer in the brazilian axle kits was way too thin and gave way where it seals the O ring with the spacer. Once I got a proper washer it sealed nicely
