Notchback rear engine mount.

On my notch motor there is a rear mount that bolts up to the body. It's like a donut that slips over the mount and then bolts up to the body. Should the mount be tight ( rubber donut ) around the part of the engine that locates in it. I have had a look and i don't see much wear on it and don't think that i'm missing any parts , nothing left in the parts bin.

Thank you
Dan;)

I'm pretty sure it should have no movement up or down but will have some movement other than that. I think its more of a support than anything.

Hi Danny

If you look what the cylinder parts is held (8mm bolt in die cast alloy) on by you realise that they cant do very much. Just get to be snug without any preload.

Steve
