Indicators

I have just had a bit of an overhaul of my 74 Kombie, one of the things while driving from the garage home I noticed is when indicating right the indicator freezes (stops) , left is fine (constant as usual) I have since found out that it does it when I have my foot on the break any ideas what the hell this is and how to fix this problem.

Any ideas guys?

I'd be happy to give you a hand, not that I'm confident to fix the problem but I can help. :)

Where about are you in Brisbane? Or can you come around near UQ?

If its only happening when the brakes are on, then it is most likely that it will be a bad earth on the taillight housing on the side of the problem. Remove all the screws from the earth wire (brown wire in earlier cars - not sure of color in your car though, but will still be under a screw that is attached to the body close-by) and clean the connections before replacing the screw.
