Can i tow a car float behind a kombi ute?


Hi guys
looking at sending my oval of to be painted an finished of and would like to know if the kombi ute would be able to tow the float+oval legally and without stuffing the ute ?
It would b a couple of hour drive

depends on the weight of the float. Some are pretty hefty / weighty
ALSO is the oval complete or minus engine, glass seats.

(RULE Used to be if the weight of the total in tow is less than front car then is legal.)

just take it seady in least heat and traffic is my motto (night for weight = get up the hills)

Yes, some car trailers are very heavy themselves....
plus a beetle and its probably illegal....

but if You travel at night - cooler for the engine...

If its a nice lightweight trailer....
You have it made.....

Don't know if it is legal or not but a freind used to tow his class 4 baja and spares with his Kombi he had a 2.1lt motor with an external cooler but never seemed to have any major problems

Lawrence at German Autos here in Brisvegas used to tow his V8 Racing Buggy on a car trailer behind his 2l Bus. Reckons it was never a drama.

I towed a XD falcon with an automatic type 3. Anything is possible, but not necessarily legal.

I think this is from the Netherlands. (no hills)
