What should I do with this 66 beetle?

I bought this a few days ago.. I have only just had a close look at it today. It is a cute 66 complete beetle..
I was going to break it up as a donor car for my 67..

However, the more I look at it the harder the decision is.. It is so bloody complete!

The door pillar on the drivers side needs major work to strengthen and remove rust.. Other than that the pan is good, all the body parts are good.. The chrome is great! the interior needs a refurb..

It is sort of hard to take the tools to it and break it up.. maybe I'm old and emotional.. What should I do?.. Is anyone looking for a 66 resto?

I can't keep it in storage for long as it costs too much so I have to make the decision in the next week or so.. I can break it up and store most in my existing lock up but I can't take on another resto.. In fact I am considering selling on my red 67 beetle and just concentrating on type 2's..

Anycase.. enough rambling.. What should I do?

That beam has adjusters welded in it
and it looks as if someone has installed the anti-sway bar upside down.

My resto is a 66, I love them..
If you want to part it out I would gladly buy a lot of stuff from it!

You're right it has been lowered.. Let me know what you're after.. I will start to break it up next weekend (that is unless someone takes the whole car)

The reason I bought it was because I wanted some of the bits for my 67 (rims, external mirror but not much else..)

The only reason it isn't a runner is due to rust having completeley eaten through the drivers door pillar. It is probably the same on the other side..

So, it seems it will be broken up.. If you wants bits (or the complete car less a couple of bits) U2U me

Was going to be but the effort is a bit much.. I am regoing next week and will run it for a while..But hard to get out of a 04 bora into a 67 beetle.. Matter of fact, I like driving the 71 dual cab the most..

My son is 17 next year and will need a car.. Intention is to do an olde skool full resto on the 67.. But to be frank.. You can buy a lot of beetle for 4-5K (71 super bug upwards).. So spending $7000+ on a resto of a type 1.. Plus the fact I have bugger all time available.. Well I guess you have to be realistic.. Also got a yard full of Type 2's which are what I get my kicks from..

In fact the red 67 was an emotional buy to help a fellow dubber.. Now its just taking up the car port

but know what u mean, u can get great cars for a few thousand...

seen some real nice ovals for $4-5 recently...

but everyone seems to be parting...i guess when i do mine up, i kinda hope to never have to part them...it's be so disheartening to see something i worked on parted..

but heres to u. I still ove that color. I reckon olde school kool with cream...
