Does sound strange...***Double Demerit points**

they musn't know of the large traffic jams every easter!!

He would have waited a long time to book someone...
Maybe He was a nice police officer and didn't really want to book anyone...

especially with double demerit points.... in NSW..

Talking about that... Double demerit points.....

Do they also apply to A V Dubbers coming up or down to Sydney for the VW Nationals from interstate??

ie.. Do interstaters also get double demerits points if booked in NSW over Easter??

Drive Paranoid in NSW this Easter, watch the speedo, dont drink and drive and definitely don't drive without a seat belt.....the Buggers are everywhere, leave all fast cars at home or just hibernate until Tuesday. Only way to avoid getting done on Feed the State Coffers weekend! Life isn't any fun anymore!!

Similar thing happened to me one afternoon, heading up the F3 at Mt White. Really slow traffic past the weight station, random breath test.

Officer: "had anything to drink in the last half hour?"

Me: "what? from 2 corners back? :duh "

Believe it or not the F3 has been clear all afternoon and evening. I was expecting a crap run home, and she was as free as. Either everyone took today off, left early, or is driving tomorrow!

To answer the question a few lines back, YES - interstate people can also lose double demerits, etc. I had a mate 2 years ago on a QLD licence who was in NSW for a few months, he had lost a couple of QLD points previously but still heaps left. He got caught doing something stupid and lost the double points, it is actioned by the police and forwarded through to your state, who then notify you. Also you cop the interstate fines.....in one swoop he lost his licence and got hit for a few hundred $$, all interstate....

Keep those speedo's on target....

Hey Carisma,
saw a few of them yesterday morning. Six radars from my folks place out near Chermside to my place out past Kenmore. And only one didn't have a victim.
Two on inner city bypass, one on Hale street, two on centenary hwy (free one was putting his book back in his pocket) and one on Moggill Road.
There is a big blitz on.

It would be nice to see the coppers catching real crooks instead of making money out of people doing 5kmh over the speed limit.
