need pix of beetle rear suspension!
anyone got any pix of the rear suspension of a 69 swing axle beetle - particularly the bump stop mounts and the other thingy on the swing arm
buggered if I can find any pics anywhere, and neither of my manuals has a pic for the swing arm versions
doesn't matter if it's on the car - looking for clues as to how it all goes back together - didn't realise I had to take my own pics when I took it
apart!!
cheers
Terry

heres a pic of my 66

dunno if that helps??
what do you need to know?
The bump stops mount to the upper springplate/axle tube bolt.
The nuts are on the inside when you put them together (otherwise bolts heads hit shocks)

and what the #*!^ are these for!
can't believe I'm asking this! any ideas what these bits are for, and where they go (boy do I wish I'd taken some pics BEFORE I ripped it
apart!!)
I'm assuming they go somewhere on the rear suspension, looks like they fit round the swing axles?
cheers
Terry

my floorpan
replaced the right hand rear quarter, patched the front left footwell and made a new section for the left front rail
a coat of rust killer, then a couple of coats of flat black rust cure paint (after a shitload of wire brushing, sanding and grinding) and it's nice
and solid again!!
wish I could say the same for the body

Can't remember how they fit, but they are the "Z-bar" pieces that fit to the swing arms. The uprights go through them and connect to the bar that
goes across the top of the gear box.
Cheers
