Last Years Wheelies Day Report - Central QLD
Saturday 9th September saw the C.Q. Chapter of the MANX CLUB hold their inaugural BEACH BUGGY DAY for the local branch of the SPORTING WHEELIES. We
arranged to meet at 10.00am at Bangalee which is on the beach north of Yeppoon. This section of beach runs for about 10klm north to Corio Bay and is
relatively safe and easy to drive on. Extra care needs to be taken near the section of beach used by guests of Rydges Resort most of whom happily
waved as the buggies went past. Buggies present included Rex in his red Rat Bug, father and son team Jeff and Andy in white and blue Manxs
respectively, Lance in his lime green Kalita and Matt in his Blue Mk2 Supasports (only just as he had spent many long nights finishing the lift kit).
Just as we had finished setting up the first of the families arrived. After some awkwardness about what would actually happen the first “load”
were taken for a ride. It was smiles all round...............................................
