Could you please tell me if parts for a 1974 VW Beetle 1500 are compatable with a 1970 1500 beetle please?

Hi, just looking at purchasing a 1974 Beetle with a reconditioned 1500 motor. Apparently he has various spare parts for Sale (will know what exactly
this afternoon) with it & My Mum currently has a 1970 1500 & we're thinking we could maybe use the parts on hers to fix it up a bit.
